SITE recognizes the unique barriers faced by women and marginalized groups; persons with disabilities (PWDs) and refugees. We promote inclusive employment opportunities and  best practices.
 
Employment and Economic Opportunities
  • Entrepreneurship & financial literacy skills, access to market and services.
  • Informal sector ecosystem mapping & interventions to improve access to resources (business licensing, credit, affirmative funds, financial inclusion, safe work spaces, technology).
  • Encouraging women’s participation in leadership roles and community, business, and political decision-making processes.
Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)

Implementing strategies to improve service delivery for persons with disabilities (PWDs), strengthening disability organizations, and ensuring their inclusion in local decision-making processes.

Established strategies for service delivery examples; (Meru, Machakos, Uganda), registration with National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), strengthening disability organizations for advocacy groups and local decision-making processes.

Refugees Support

Equipping refugees with entrepreneurship skills to start and grow businesses, helping them integrate into host communities and contribute to national development initiatives such as, the Shirika plan.

Business Rights
Advocating for women’s rights and social protection, addressing gender-based violence, discrimination, and promoting gender equality.
